I'´ve been following this forum since quite some time and now decided to join it!

I think I'm not quite satisfied with the mastering; kinda have the feeling that I drove it too hard; but on the other hand: I finished the record only a few days ago, so I'm still somewhat tunnelvisioned, hehe

Snare drum doesnt seem to cut right.

Yep, the snare was a bitch during the mastering session. Tried to get it right with Slate's F-GX transient stuff; didn't quite work out the way I wanted it.
The funny thing is that the snare is just fine on other tracks of the album.

And yes, the singer's quite a Blythe fan; but honestly: it's one of the best I know around here. Mixing vocals was a real treat! Badass timing, no fuckups in terms of dynamics (high/low screams), correct pronunciation (he's originally from Boston).

It sounds like the mids are way too scooped on the guitars. Try boosting them a bit.

yeah theres really a lack of mids, but guess thats stylistic element. really dig it!
