6.5/10. I like the drums and the main riff is really catchy. Lots of energy too.

8/10. Perfect, old school black metal sound. Love the atmosphere. Voclas are good too.

(I have a feeling this thread is gonna be one of my favourites).

Overly long generic Bay Area garbage. Some good leads, but most bands from that period have those. I'd rather listen to Supercharger. 1/10.

3/10 not my pint of beer so to say. its sad to see how a metalcore band can take a good riff and completely ruin it with fag volcals.

Yeah, and what the fuck's up with "bay area garbage"? Hadn't it been for Bay area thrash and Florida death, metal would have taken a huge turn for the worst. What if the glammers would have still been hip in the late 80's early 90's?

Bay area is one of the foundations for underground metal.

6/10. Started out amazing, kinda generic but tons of energy, great guitar tone, powerful vocals. Drums could be better.

Metallica, Exodus, Slayer, Megadeth, Possessed, and such are rightfully regarded as pioneering metal gods. Heathen, Vio-lence, Defiance, and other latecomers did little more than to over-saturate the scene with second-rate knock offs. By 1988 the scene had pretty much accomplished all it ever would, simply going through the motions and using their location as a selling point.

EDIT: And lol @ "glammers". Glam metal was still plenty popular through the late 80's, and while Metallica and the other largest bands are partially to thank for its later decline, extreme metal had virtually no impact on destroying it. Beavis & Butthead killed Winger more successfully than a thousand death or thrash metal bands could hope to.
