Raunchy cover (Engl/Ezx dfh)

I'm testing my custom 2x12 so I tried to record a little Raunchy cover.
I use a sm57 on axis around the usual place (2 tracks pointing more on the cone and 2 track more on the centre of the speaker).
I didn't spend too much time in the mix...only some sample on the drums and some eq and reverb here and there.
I'm not very happy about the guitar sound....it seems boxy to my ears.
Could it be the 2x12? Probably with a good 4x12 it should be better...I don't know
What do you think, expecially about the guitar sound?

huge Raunchy fan here! Confusion Bay rocks BTW... that singer was the shit! the new one its just ok...

your guitars sound cool but you need that Hansen magic on the drums

p.s. I prefer the new singer..I saw them in copenhagen 1month ago....very cool show and the keybordist is a very very good singer.

the keyboard guy does all of raunchy clean/singing vocals. and yes as you mentioned he is VERY good. The main vocals I don't like the style, he is ok but not great. at least compared to the original vocalist, before he went and do some backing vocals for that gay act Junior/Senior... What a fuck was that about? its a shame... Raunchy still rocks though!
