A mix I did last week for a kinda commercial sounding rock band. Came out pretty cool. Guitar tone might be the weak point but I dig the shit out of the bass tone. Killer player as well.

This mix is done, but fuck, critique away. It can't hurt...

btw, there's a cool lofi / production jump about 1:10 into Stay in the River. I do those kinda things a lot but I really like the way this one came out.

I wish I could get a nice even mix like this. in my opinion my stuff always comes out sounding whack and amature when I listen to big full mixes like this. I guess that's what I get for my tiny computer rig.
I dig the lo-fi thing too man.

lilhermiejobo, this mix was all ITB so it's really all about experience and finding some killer plugs. I checked out your other post though and you're on the right track. Sounds good.

sounds very nice dude. only complaint I have is the drums sounding just a bit too MIDI-ish. sounds great though otherwise, as usual.

What was it you did to get that nice transition??

Also, what plugs were used on this? Just the main ones, curious cause this kicks ass!

The lofi transition was a combo of a lot of things. I think on the drums it was mainly a quick little bounce of the full kit, added a little distortion, then filtered with a C4 leaving one band on solo and adjusting to taste. Pull a little reverse reverb with a phaser into the heavy part and that's pretty much it.
