RC lauded acts with under the radar recent releases

Nah actually digging the shit out of it lolik.

Here's an offering that most of ye vunts should enjoy. Dont let the non-pc name scare ye off. Theyre all "inclusive" chaps I'd handsomely wager.

This shows some potential. Melancholic, dense & psychedelic black / grey metal meets anarcho post punk, inspired by bands such as VED BUENS ENDE, KILLING JOKE, EMPEROR, BLIND IDIOT GOD, or AMEBIX.

For some reason that thing reminded me of Critters. Or maybe I'm thinking of fritters...

The Turia portion on that Turia/Fluisteraars Split is fanfuckingtastic. Completely barreled over with this inundation of quality jams from a forum once thought dead. I want to buy some of this shit, but dont want to do a Gugsy haul on a once over. Definitely going to pick up the cream that rises after a few solid listens.

Btw-New Sleep us pretty good, if it slipped any of ye gents radar.

I still cannot get enough of this album. Easily my most played album of recent years. I travel each week, and this album has become my best travel companion. I still hear new things each time.

The Cold March Towards Eternal Brightness, The Spiral Fountain, A Rider in the Lands of an Infinite Dreamscape are the highlights, but there are no weak tracks. The biggest flaw I found is that the album starts with the most straight-forward black metal track of the lot, possibly causing new listeners to assume the rest of the album sounds this way.

If you know this album, high five.

Agreed, I love how that Turia song evolves throughout its running time--if you like that one check out the Iskandr album I mentioned in the other thread--also good stuff. Also happy about the new energy on the forum...as we get older :err:

Also Agreed--I would say no doubt in the top five bm releases of the entire decade.

------

I will leave this new one here -- Greek bm with the aforementioned guy from Spectral Lore on bass (and it's upfront--looking at you NAD)

It's only April, and there is so much good music coming out:

^^ Brazlian bm with a ton of melody, acoustics, varied vox, lead work etc. etc--last five minutes of this track is surely :kickass:

^^ Can't believe i've not heard this band before--weirdo bm, dat bass.

Moar medieval stuff:

^^ Guys in Vehemence (mfj posted a song before) --heavily medieval with a lot of acoustics over bm vox--excellent

^^ medieval bm from italy--solid.
