I was currently recording some guitars directly into the computer to play a bit
with the re-amping thing on different setups.
My question is, since I'm not satisfied with my results so far, when you
record guitars for later re-amping do you use good preamps like
Neve, API, Focusrite or would you go for the most clean signal of the
instrument.
Because using a nice preamp does color the sound, which is usually a good
thing, but I'm not sure about having that at this stage of the recording
process.
Any suggestions on how to track guitars or bass properly for later re-amping?
Thanks.
