it gets better, there's even a page that shows you criminals in your neighborhood....just type in your zip code and the names pop up....and that includes "criminal" who're just been speeding etc
Funny how you're allowed to post pictures of persons charged for crimes in the US. I'd not like to see a pic of me / a friend there.. being charged of something doesn't mean anything and it's.. well.. probably destroying the whole life of some people to be all over the net as a "criminal". good thing our legal system works a lot different.

Yeah but we're not talking about convicts. They're people "charged for a crime" which is a small but important difference. This would be highly dependant on the crime itself... personally, if I had kids, I would damn sure want to know if anyone in the neighborhood has been convicted of "being indecent" with an 8 year old...
Sounds reasonable. It really terrifies me, those are basic human rights kicked right in the nuts. This is highly dependent on state-specific laws; I know in California that the only criminals who are allowed to be 'searched for' on these kinds of sights are sex-offenders, under Megan's Law.
(..)
This is also dependent upon state-specific laws... California prohibits this kind of info from being public.
