Real Oboes?

Mike said they got help (from people) with these instrumental bits.

Me: Oh I really like that you've used oboies, flutes and the violins and the organ
Mike: Yes, we got some help with that
Me (stupidly stuck in my idolatry of him): Really??!
Mike: Yeh, I can't play everything!!

Or words to that effect. So i'm guessing not synthesized.

The organ, most probably. Not sure about the other instruments, maybe Per was one of the others.

I have somewhat of a classical background... to the best of my knowledge they sound synthesized... With technology these days electronics can almost completely imitate acoustic sounds but the real thing is unmatched... It would be great if Mike could give us some info on this but I suppose there will be "credits" on the album booklet

All accompaniment instruments -- oboe, flute, etc. -- are real, played by real people, who breathe real air and eat real food. Live, Per will handle those sounds.

This is a good question, I've wondered the same.
To my ears it doesn't sound like a sampler, but mike never said anything about it.
It sounds soo cool.

^I remember when Victorialand posted some stuff about WS way back when about certain elements of the album which was all true.. so I bet this

And is it just me, or is that a bassoon accompanying Mike at the beginning of The Lotus Eater?
