Realistic Trilian Bass Programming

you like Paramore don't you ? :)

sounds cool

I do :)
Too much hardcore music around where I live. Looking to do other stuff ya know?

Thank you!

EDIT:
Oh, also, I checked your mix and I like how it sounded in general. Unfortunately, I can't get a good fix on the low end in question through these darn headphones. I'll check on the mix through some monitors in the next couple of days!

It sounds great man!
In my opinion this beats recording and slip editing and possibly melodine-ing.

Thank you!

Trilian can produce some real neat things if you mess with it enough.

I actually copied and pasted the same bass track and hi passed one at around 1khz to focus on the grit. The other track has a low pass around 900hz and focuses on mids and low end. Believe it or not, I'm running pod farm's tube screamer for the high end ahaha.

You could always EQ out the boomy-ness.

it's not that simple, trillian bass sounds are too low end centered and there isn't much of a pleasant mid/low mid information that glues well and consistant with the guitars...something I haven't tried yet is bypassing it's build in amp and speaker sims and use other stuff. I hope some one try it, I'll do someday and post how it was ;)

sounds like you need to experiment more! the slap basses work great for metal stuff and they sound enough like a pick to fool most people

The pick attacks sounds good and very real, no doubt about it, but the low end is messy for mixing into a song, that's why I think it's a waste of time well its only my opinion. I always get better results with cheap bass guitars, and it is faster for me. Trillian has a nice acoustic bass and awesome synth basses though. Again, just my opinion :)

BUMP

Got it to glue very well with my Killswitch engage cover of Reject Yourself:

This is something i threw together in 15 minutes just to test out how well I could get the bass to gel. I think it sounds pretty good for that.

not bad

i think your kick is a little too thin in this mix tho'

It reminds me that i still have to finish my MIDI to Trilian tutorial that i started like 2 years ago :(
