Reccomend me a testament album

Youve probably seen this request about a thousand times, and you probably get pissed off when asked, but what would you recommend to me as a first testament album..I was thinking of getting the best of to get a sample of everything..what do you think???

well, if you're going the best of route, get First Strike Still Deadly, it has newly recorded versions of many of their old tunes. As for recommending an album, it would help to know what other bands you like. I'd personally recommend "Practice What You Preach" since it's my favorite, but you may not be into that style.

Practice What You Preach- progressive thrash madness...and Low is a more modern sounding exercise in thrash with death metal overtones, and is quite good as well....can't go wrong with anything, save Ritual and Demonic (the latter being a great album, but totally different from the rest of their catalogue)

I always think new fans should start where the band started and then progress with the band by buying each subsequent release in order.
Therefore pick up THE LEGACY first

I would: Start with the New Order, then The Legacy, & then The Gathering, & then go to FSSD....................................

my first album is low
after low, I listened to old albums and I love them all
so, it's testament
everytime great!!

but if u choose best of, u have chance to listen different times and different sounds
and u can compare them

or
get mp3...

Start with "The Gathering" and "First Strike Still Deadly". It's a good mix of the old and the new - all with great sound quality.

Get the New Order. It was the first one I got and it is IMO the best one.

yes, there's great sound quality but
in my opinion
to begin with old times it's better
it's cool to see all the ways testament walked
