recent interview with Mikael

I was wondering if I had read it before. Then I saw someone comment on that line. "Happy music has no soul." :) Yep. That one is close to the best Opeth interview I've ever read. Great questions. Seemed like Mike was very comfortable too. (Is that the interview where at the end he says he's glad it's over because he had to piss?)

I too sort of pictured the whole band hanging out on Friday nights and going out to the pubs together. I posted Mike's comments from that interview on re-releases here after I read it. I don't think anyone noticed that. I guess I didn't post the link here because I figured everyone would have read it by now...guess not. sorry This ways better anyway. You can all thank the interviewer personally. :)

Wow! Thanks for the great comments - that really means a lot. And no, this wasn't the interview where he said that he had to piss at the end of it

Yeah. I think that Unrestrained! is a very good mag...even if I wasn't writing for it, it's one that I would be picking up regularly.

The Opeth interview discussed above first appeared there in article format, in the sixteenth issue. But I had so much more text that, due to space constraints, couldn't fit...so I thought that it would be worthwhile to republish it online, in its original Q&A format. I've also recently done that with the Katatonia interview...and will probably do that with some others as time goes by...

You write for Unrestrained! ? sweet, you guys are doing an excellent job....unfortunately i only discovered the mag since # 15 (i think it's 15...the one with zyklon on the cover?) . anyhow, i love your reviews section(beats BW&BK's reviews anyday IMO), keviMetal's Rimshot section is CLASSIC! funny shit! None of the articles have yet to dissapoint me ... so anyhow, as i said ....keep up the wicked work, for i know that i'll keep on buying the mag! :D .... just wish that more issues would be released throught the year :/

sweet ...can't wait till it hits the shelves :). oh and yea....kevimetal is the man!

btw. which one of the writers are ya ?

Right on! The Arcturus story is particularly unique, I think that I just happened to catch Garm in an unusual mood, so he had some very interesting and, at times, rather surprising, things to say about Arcturus. Or, at least, I hope so!

I was pretty nervous going into this interview, and came out of it with something quite different than I had envisioned going into it, but still quite good, I think.

Hope that you enjoy the new issue of Unrestrained! when you pick it up.
