Hmmmm, don't a lot of Grind bands use drum machines?? It seems like I remember hearing somewhere that drum machines weer rather common in Grind albums... I have no idea where I heard that.

I see them being used in Black Metal Bands for example, but I sure have never heard of a Thrash or probably even Death band using a drum machine on a studio effort.

Sounds stupid but it may be true.
 
Drum Machines are good for when you want a more mechanical and relentless sound, as I imagine keeping time to a wall of sound is pretty tricky even for seasoned drummers.

I do prefer seeing a drummer playing live, but on a studio album I don't mind either way.
