Record setting bass squashes

Try out a sansamp or any booster/preamp before the bass amp to make it sound compact from the beginning. We used the Behringer version of bassdriver and it works great! We put it before the EBS Fafner that we used for recording. You should have a sound that's pretty easy to work with... You could use a multiband to compress the shit out of the low end and maintain the snappy highs...
