The button/setting you forgot to adjust.....

Haha, on that note, when I'm playing unplugged, I very often flick the toggle switch back and forth when going to certain licks :D

I used to do that when I still frequently played
totally on purpose though.
The majority of my practice wasn't through an amp as I always play at like 4 in the morning, so I just practiced it anyway so I wouldn't have to devote as much time practicing through an amp to clean pickup changes.

I drove all the way to my studio once and forgot to bring my computer. I usually take my computer home so I can edit and work on stuff while I'm home. Good thing its only 15 min away though...

do you guys no the flat knob on the silver korg tuner?
This sucker took 10min of our gig-time (I was on stage in front of 500people?!?), after 10 min I gave up and tuned with my ears to the second guitar player.
When I was home I found the problem and I was sooo pissed!!!

I tend to run a song through an amp and stereo speakers I've got hooked up up to my computer to see what someone thinks of a mix. The amp is turned up pretty loud and I can't reach it from the desk, so I have a habit of just turning down the 2-buss and asking what they think.

If they say they like it, I mix down the audio, go make a cup of tea or whatever, come back and chat with the band a bit, and get ready to stick it on a CD. Then, just as I'm about to press "Burn"... I realise I mixed it down with the master at like -25dbs. I fail at the loudness war

Did something similar recently:

Tracked guitars to check out some new gear. Tuned up between takes and everything sounded ok. Checked them on playback with some synths added and the guitars sounded out of tune. Got really frustrated because I had checked tuning and intonation before and between tracking. After a while I went back to my tuner (to see whether I'd missed something) to find out it wasn't set to 440hz :erk:.

Some of the other things in this thread also sound painfully similar to mistakes I've made somewhere in the past .
