hey guys i have a stupid question...i have a shitty audigy soundcard is it better to use the line in or the mic in to get a better signal?

recording guitars with a h&k tube preamp+impulses...some people have told me the mic in is better quality
im not sure thats true.....

You need a preamp anyways, so I suggest you just get an interface meant for music use:

yeah i will... probably a focusrite saffire...i just need some opinions for now
