Hi guys,
I'm thinking of upgrading my recording PC, or better said laptop, and give it a boost with SSD for system drive.
I'm currently running 2x500GB 7200rpm HDDs, basically:
HDD1: System, SW
HDD2: VSTs, VSTi libraries, projects, data, stems..etc
with this configuration it seems I'm getting the best performance - I tried few ways of having VSTs + libraries on HDD1, or having vst's on HDD1 and lirbraries on HDD2 etc.
my budget is tight, so options for me are 128GB or 256GB SSD (when I'm thinking of Samsung Pro850's) to replace HDD1.
now the question is, what do you recomend when I add SSD to my setup - keep the current configuration:
HDD1: System, SW
HDD2: VSTs, VSTi libraries, projects, data, stems..etc
or move VSTs+libraries to SSD? when I decide to go with my current config, 128GB is more than enough for system+SW and I can save some money, but when I'll decide to move VSTs+libraries to SSD I'll have pick up 256GB
