Hi everyone.

Taken from the ampsim sticky and put into a new thread as i think my question doesn't take place there.

My advice is buy a preamp e.g. Blackstar HT-Dual. Better than ampsims. They're quite cheap.

I've tried this combined with impulse (redwirez) but the result doesn't sound really great. Terribily "bassy" even if i set bass knob to 0.

I've tried both in direct inst input and through a DI with a ux2 and a saffire pro14. I've used the "direct output" from the HT-DUAL.

With emulated output it sound better but as it is "processed" sound (eq ?) i don't think i have to use this output that way.

Any advice to get a "cool" sound from the pedal ? Am i missing something ?

Of course i can use myself an EQ on the recorded signal but here too i don't think it is the right way to do because it will be too "drastic".

Thanks in advance
