Rectoverb question

I know this has sorta been brought up before, and i have searched a lot but i have not found the exact answer i'm looking for.
so.... I would like to record my series 1 rectoverb silently.

This is how i plan to do it..can someone tell me
1. if it will work, or if there are any things i am overlooking.
or
2.if i'll fuck any gear up

1 I will leave my cabinet plugged in normally
2 i will go from the fx send to the input on my soundcard
3 i will use impulses or a cabinet sim.

should work correctly? or am i totally missing something. any input would be greatly appreciated.

You got it all, good job! Though I'm not sure if Rectoverbs have a Slave Out, but if so, you should definitely use that (on my 2 ch. Dual Rec I found it to be a much cleaner sound than the FX send when I compared the two through impulses)

it does have a slave out. guess i'll try that too
