I am lazy and want to quadtrack a guitar. Is it ok to record it raw just twice and them reamp these two tracks with 2 different setups (resulting on 4 tracks, 2 with each amp setup)?

If yes, how should I pan them? Should the two tracks that used the same raw track be on the same side of the spectrum or not?

Thanks in advance!

ps: the two raw tracks will be playing exact the same guitar line.

Well, you can get some cool sounds if you nudge the copy tracks around a little but like above it won't be the same.
Hey, get off your lazy arse and throw those tracks down:kickass: ........jk

even then, it sounds like poopy in mono

and for some of you, no, i do not have a mp3 to show you what poopy sounds like in mono haha

Actually, I was looking for this kind of quadtrack shortcut because some guitarrists that come to record a demo here aren´t that tight on playing over and over again the same line. So, I´ll just make´em move their lazy arses and... poo in mono :zombie:

Thanks for the replies!
