a friend of mine has one and it was rather noisy.....but i believe because he hadn't set it up properly...however i was able to get good results out of mic'ing it up. and they go $300 to $400.

What I find funny about the site is "estimated price range: $XXX-$XXX (List: $XXX)", lol. Why would there be a range for a SET feature list on each amp? Are they customizable or something?

Also, just found this in the FAQ section:

mike g. is offering a service to red bear owners to properly retube the amps from 6n2p's to 12ax7's. so far this conversion has been observed to preserve the original sound of the amp. he will do this service for $35, or $20 if you trade in your 6n2p's. this service will also include a 6l6 power tube bias adjustment if necessary. mike's qualifications are a degree in electronics, over 20 years experience in servicing amps, all required tools, as well as numerous accountability references on ebay and harmony central. there will be shipping expenses to/from arizona (85635) where he is located. e-mail him for more info and questions.

I have an Associate's in audio engineering and I would definitely charge more than that for those services. And no, don't e-mail me for more info. These goofs don't even know me. I smell a lawsuit.

I have heard some cool clips of them before. They seem to be pretty cheap as well if you can find them.

Check the Harmony Central amp forum for some clips; you should be able to find some there.

i have some clips of them but they are of some Steavy Ray Von type music so you really would'nt get a true rep of how it sounds in metal...but like i said i will post clips. this amp is rare and of the few peeps who have them nothing but good thing are said. too bad this amp isnt more out there.
