Progpower / Live DVD news and contest

We just returned from ProgPower VIII, the US' best known festival for progressive and power metal, where we played to a packed house. It was the best show we've had, with hundreds of people pressed against the rail, singing along. The energy from the crowd was phenomenal.

We played for 66 minutes…quite a bit longer than the 40 minutes we had opening for Dream Theater this summer. And we made good use of the time…our setlist was:

Threads
Bleed Me Dry
Nocturnal
Memory
The Suffocating Silence
Release
Fall On You
Sapphire
The Death of Faith & Reason

We will be making a DVD of this performance, and possibly a live CD as well, which might have some bonus tracks.

What's the name of this release? Well, that's where you come in! For the next 30 days, we'll be soliciting names for the live album from our fans. Send your ideas to redemptionmusic@gmail.com!

The band will select the best entry, and the winner will receive a Redemption T-shirt and autographed copies of The Origins of Ruin and the DVD when released.

Thanks to all who came to see us in Atlanta, and to all of you for your interest and support!

Now let's hear some great ideas for names!!

COOL!!! But will they still have a couple songs on the PP DVD?? :err:

I pre-ordered it without even knowing which bands will be included

Nonetheless, I'll buy Redemption's too!

I figure at the moment every band is on it except Virgin Steele since they were the only ones not recorded that I noticed.. The rest depends on the recordings/video quality.

Great news! I'd love to see "Transcendence" and "Parker's Eyes" added as bonus tracks. Wish I could have heard these during the PP set. (Although maybe it's a good thing they didn't do "Parker's Eyes" -- as it's one of those songs that tends to bring on the instant waterworks for me.)
