Redwire MixIR2 !! New IR Loader...

Does it come with their IR library or it´s just the IR loader plugin?
Does it have HPF and LPF like LeCab?

Ermz, I'm not promoting it! Just saw that they will release that software.

JeffTD I agree with you. I think it has not a relevant new improvement over existing IR loaders.

WOOT, also has Mac use for those of us using AU on Logic. hopefully it has something more than the usual laoders on the market. Iface, Kefir, and Lecab all have a slight edge than the usual loader, so i hope this is on par with those, and glad to have something that uses reswirez exclusively, cus i fucking love Redwirez

Damn you Googlebot!

The plug-in's not even out yet. That page has been sitting on the site, not linked into anything for a few weeks while we make the installers, finish the manual, and exorcise the last ghosts in the machine. Not sure how Google picked it up.

Anyway, it'll be free to anyone who owns the complete BIGBox set. We're not offering it for sale at this time.

Not the way I wanted to announce it, but there you go.

We'll have some more information, screenshots, etc. when it's officially released.

JeffTD, Ermz...

I'm not one to step to the defense of a competitor, but coming in and spouting negativity in (nearly) every thread relating to a new convolution-based product is not doing anyone any favors. You guys are, of course, entitled to your negative opinions, but at this point virtually everyone here is well aware of your positions.

Meanwhile, guitarists and producers at all levels of the business are happily using convolution-based cabinet simulation in the studio and live - including pros like Devin Townsend! The recently announced Axe FX II from Fractal Audio still uses convolution-based cabinet simulation. There is absolutely nothing wrong with convolution-based cabinet simulation - in fact, in most typical use cases it sounds better than miking a cabinet, just as drum samples will almost always sound better than miking up a real kit. Most people simply don't have the proper facilities, the quality of gear, or most importantly the technical expertise or even the availability to rival drum samples or convolution cabinet simulation in their home studios.

Bottom line - if Recabinet, Redwirez, Ownhammer, or Fractal's products aren't relevant to your interests right now, then you obviously have nothing good to say on the subject. Hold out for the next wave of cab sim technology and focus your attention elsewhere in the mean time. My advice, anyway...

I lol'd.

I think quite a few of us on here will disagree with that, and your post sounds very much like an advertisement, because you sell an IR based product.

thanks for clearing that up mate, i saw reference to it on the site but no direct link. i am stoked to get my hands on this peice of awesome, it's what i'm looking for in an IR loader and actually works for AU's, seeing as alot of us mac guys are SOL with alot of the new loaders out there.

can't wait for release, and glad to hear it's free for the big box owners, was thinking about DL the BB collection. looking forward to it

If you want just a loader for Mac check out MellowMuse IR1A. Had it for a while now and can't complain at all, around $50.

im not liking the fact that its not for sale. i really dont need all those IRs i would have to buy in order to get it. ill stick with space designer i guess.

Ithink you read that wrong, he said NOT SELLING IT AT THIS TIME. if you look at the example page it says for sale at roughly $50. but free for big box owners.

so you SHOULD be able to use this with other IRs, also just saw that they edited the page since last i looked at it, price and what not are removed, dunno, things are up in the air still

That's right we're not selling it. We were going to sell it a long, long time ago when we first started developing this plug-in and that web page. But, it took so long, a raft of IR loaders with similar (although not quite as awesome) features have come out in the meantime. So, we decided to give it away to our biggest supporters as a thank you. It'd also be nice if some folks who don't have all of our cabs see enough value in the plug-in to upgrade :-)

Thanks guys.
