Refinished my LTD M-307 in oiled mahogany! (pics!)

Got this a few months back in a trade for my Jackson COW. Hated the colour, procrastinated for fuckin ages, then bit the bullet and did it. And man am I glad I did!

Just tung oil man! 4 coats to be exact, with 24hrs between each coat, sanded to fuck and wiped down each time with 600 grit wet & dry. Do it.

What did you use to remove the finish?

What RG? I wouldn't recommend doing it to any of the basswood ones. Basswood is not only super pale, and quite blank (i.e. no grain) but can also sometimes have green patches

To remove the finish I just got super coarse paper and a lot of patience! Had no power tools, all by hand. I am now buff down one side
