Well, when I hear the term "regular dude"-metal, I think of traditional heavy metal, not (shitty) metalcore... So yeah, I'd recommend Blaze, but that's obviously not what you're looking for.

"Regular" guys generally not into metal would hate all that stuff. Nile is way too heavy to be considered stuff that a more "mainstream" person would be into.

When I think "regular" guy metal I generally think crappy core bands such as Chimaira & Killswitch Engage. Shadows Fall have some pretty cool stuff though. Classic stuff like Priest & Maiden definitely doesn't appeal to your average "regular" guy these days.

The best "regular" guy metal band of all time is definitely Metallica. Even people that hate metal will like Metallica.
