"regular dude" metal

hey i consider traditional heavy metal regular dude metal as well. just some background, my ipod has mostly the "famous" death, thrash, and black metal bands. i did start out with regular dude metal, and sometimes it is nice to back for awhile.

i sampled the song Blaze Bayley - The Man Who Would Not Die
i didnt know he made his own band! pretty kickass.

Guns N Roses are classic! and who doesnt know Metallica, Maiden and Priest.. respect .

now that is some straight up, no bullshit heavy metal. great stuff.

Amon Amarth are not regular dude metal... they are massive bearded viking dude metal. but HELL YES i already loved them before.

Gojira, oh shit never heard of them until now, but i sampled some of their earlier stuff on youtube and it's right up my alley. i will likely buy the new cd.

no offense but Nile blows, SYL not quite my thing, i kinda like ATR and Chimaira, BFMV BMTH and Atreyu are gay, Devildriver are good but repetitive after awhile.

Volbeat, what is this, redneck cowboy metal? lol it's alright in small doses.

Testament are fuckin legends, i love all their material.

White/Rob Zombie and Pantera are a bit too trailer park metal for me but it is undeniable that Dimebag did some great riffage.

Anthrax are good classic thrash but i like their contemporaries better

yeah i love the extreme genres... im familiar with most of the well-known (but great) bands in them. ive only been into metal for 2ish years tho.

im not really into the trve kvlt underground stuff... yet. all in due time.

Samson's Head On and Shock Tactics are fun. Bruce Dickinson on vocals, though he doesn't really sound like he did with Maiden. Shouldn't be too hard to find. It's NWOBHM I suppose. I have no idea what their later stuff sounds like but can't imagine it being very good.
