Relab LX480 users thread

so I'm guessing theres a few users of this what with the slate subscription. I'm not sure the relab manual has been properly released yet, but its pretty good at explaining a lot of the parameters and algorithms. the original manual essentially just says "use the presets and adjust accordingly".

What's everyone liking it on? which algorithms do you find yourself using most?

it always seems to sound good but at the moment I don't know the limits of the plugin so its hard to gauge how far to push certain parameters. I was surprised at how much I liked the ambience algorithm on some drum overheads to make the room sound bigger, it sounded very natural.

It reminds me a great deal of working with a 480L, which brings a warm feeling to my brain when mixing.

The Fat Plate and Snare Plate are my usual starting points (but for snare and vocals, respectively).

It just works, and there's not much more you can ask of a reverb plugin, unless you need some great non-lin or extra fanciness.

really liking the medium ambience preset on drums. very natural fattening up effect. also works great on drum overheads just to make the decay a bit longer and fuller without getting messy.

Any link to download presets? I own one with the slate subscription but no there is no presets included.

you have to go to the load button. there you can load presets
