So I went home to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and naturally my mom just HAS to pull out the old photo albums of us as kids. Thumbing through, I spot myself about 10 or 11 years old in 1981 sporting a Killer's Tour Maiden shirt.

I'm proudly displaying my new Atari game "Pitfall" There's also a pic of me and my buddy (also in a Maiden shirt) standing next to the TV displaying our "High Score). Freakin hysterical. Anyone else with some ridiculously old photos of themselves "Uppin the Irons"???

Highschool Senior , 1983-84...One of only two pics I have of that painting before Harris signed it, which unfortunately was lost a long time ago...I have no idea what happened to my Trooper jersey either....strange...

Sweet! I remember feathered hair like that! That's a damn fine Trooper jersey! Funnilyy enough, I dress like you in that second pic TODAY sometimes..

Hee hee, I think we all had the same wardrobe in our "early days"! It's so funny to be reminded that everybody used to tuck in their shirts! Fun pics! I have a picture somewhere at my Mom's house of me on crutches with a cast up to my knee and a wicked drawing of the # of the Beast Eddie on the whole front of it that a friend drew. It went over really well with all my school teachers.

Yea, I hear ya. In 6th grade I got expelled from school for the day because of my Killers shirt. Basically sent home for it... A nice, free day off as I recall.

Years later, I had an incident with my father tearing an Exodus shirt right off my back cause he didn't agree with it's gruesome imagery. I had to sew it back together... wore it for many years in that condition.

Oldest pic I have is from 5/2/87, Irvine Meadows parking lot before the last U.S. show for Somewhere on Tour:

On far left wearing a Stranger in a Strange Land long-sleeve with some friends from high school.

I had to put duct tape over my METAL UP YOUR ASS Metallica t-shirt once in high school. Wore it a bunch of times before my English teacher finally noticed it.

My brother used to wear Megadeth shirts to school just to piss off his overly religious history teacher. I got bollocked at PE twice for wearing metal shirts - one was a King Nothing shirt and the other said "We came, we saw, we got pissed at Donington!" :headbang:

I am soooooooo glad I don't have those kinds of pics anymore LOL Goodness gracious...whoever told me that blue eyeshadow looked cool with pink lipstick needs shooting. :puke:

Thankfully, from Maiden, Priest, Dio and Ozzy, I moved on to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Destruction, ect... So I don't have to worry about pictures of me in makeup surfacing! Being an angst-ridden youth in the late 80s, I detested all poofy hair rock. Which was why No Prayer was such a let down for me. Their whole idea of "stripped down, back to basics rock and roll" was NOT why I liked Maiden in the first place. And with Adrian gone, I was sure it was the beginning of the end...
