Yep nice mention of the whole Country-Metal fusion they did back in the early 80s. Though the duet they did with Dolly Parton on Bring the Boobs is probably best left forgotten.

I am actually trying to secure an interview with ol Virgingrinder himself but apparently his Olive farm in Seville takes up most of his time now. You don't get more metal in retirement than growing olives man. So hardcore. Julio sets the standard that Dickenson and Halford can't even come close too.

as a matter of fact....i heard that sammy hagar did some back up vocals....i think it was on the "state of we've attacked the killer real threats" cd....forgive me if im wrong but its just something i heard on the interweb....but there again...it may have been ronny james dio, with richie blackmore playing leads...i know for a FACT that I played tambourine for this session....i still have the blisters from the track "caught in a madhouse, while among the Indians" tribute solo...you cant refuse that

Damn, dude, is everyone forgetting the awesome accordion solos that Dennis DeYoung recorded for them on their first three CDs?
"Persistance of Euphoric State" was the best album for acordian solos, but it was their most acordian focused album to date, and thus critics passed it off as more of the same. Always makes me happy to hear that album!
