I love how you criticize me and call me a troll...I do NOT troll...that is NOT what I do...I post my opinions and bitch back at you when you bitch at me...that's not trolling...

I seriously DO believe that Symphony X should improve their web site and get their own forums, separate from an all-encompassing site...they should also improve their online persona...look at every other band...it takes a small bit of programming to get a fully-featured message board that can host multiple forums for a sleeker, more functional experience...the way it is now (especially with how relatively "big" SymX are), it is COMPLETELY dysfunctional...as I said before, an "Off-Topic Thread"? A "Sports Thread"? Are you serious? A band from freaking Dallastown, PA (you may have heard of them, Winterfell...they are not even still together) has its own full-functional Message Board with Multiple Forums....why can't SymX?? Are they really that IGNORANT of Technology? Do they care THAT little about their fans? If a 2nd-rate Metal Band from Dallastown can have a cool forum, why the HELL are SymX still on UM?

Oh, and you want down's syndrome posts, take a look at some of your own that consist of nothing but insults, put-downs and do NOTHING to refute ANYTHING that I have put forth...you do more trolling for me to trash me than I do trolling this forum...
 
Oh, and I don't "Shit on the band's carpet"...I make statements about what they could improve, and what they SHOULD improve if they want to appear as large-scale and as professional of a band as they seem to put on...they simply appear right now as a second-rate small band...WINTERFELL had a more professionally-run and developed site...

That's not even opinion...that is FACT...having ONE forum on a 50+ band generic metal message board is VERY second-rate...

Oh, and if I get banned for saying this, that would also be very second-rate, because it would mean that they couldn't TAKE CRITICISM...
 
^ opinion fully noted.. no need to keep restating it continuously and on every thread.. the band will do as they want with having a forum, and the only one who complains about how its done is you, so go somewhere else where things are set up to your liking otherwise put up and shut up.

I can see AGX's point, but to me, I listen to Symphony X for their music. They are musicians, working hard to make a living and put out music for their fans. They are not Internet geeks. Superfluous websites are typically hosted by record companies or third-parties, which probably would take money out of the pockets of the band members, requiring them to work more day jobs and further delay their abilities to release albums in a timely manner.
 
Besides, I happen to think the simplicity of their forum kicks ass. I get a headache whenever I go on the Kamelot forum. Even lately I have trouble finding the time to post in this simple forum, I can't imagine it being bigger and more complicated..
 
Or the metalarchives one. I'm a member there but never post because it is so slow and hard to use. VBulletin software is the best imo.

not "particularly intelligent", just questioning and looking for ways by which Symphony X and the management around here could improve...get more up-to-date...I realize that a lot of it comes across as "bitching", but it is not meant that way...I just see a band that, band-wise, as well as compositionally and musically, is as professional as they come, and their Web presence has not been up to par with their high standard of quality...at least not in terms of keeping a "clean" board (everything in its own area, organized - this place is a little chaotic the way it is now)...I DO think that this place is nice...but it COULD be improved...

Also, one reason I "bitch" is BECAUSE of the fact that there is little to talk about Symphony X-related...
 
it seems like now that rep is gone, people are already chewing eachother out without fear of paying for it in this very thread.
