But the Montpellier crowd doesn't care a lot about the "Richard Coeur De Lion" story. They just came to bang their heads to the vigorous hymns of Father Byford. As soon as the show began, it was worth the money they paid.
Even if the guys have aged, they still have the fire burning. Not wanting to play only a best-of set, the 5-piece band explores. They want to bring on memories from their inegal long carreer (in term of success) to the crowd which has people from every age. For their 25th anniversary, they took off the dust some really old and rarely played gems, like the "Ride Like The Wind" cover from Christopher Cross. Hearing again "Rock The Nations" as well as "Broken Heroes" were big surprises too.
That being said, a more serious exploration of their discography should have been made. Anyone can remember "Princess Of The Night", but what about the duet with (Sir) Elton John? It may be a shock to learn that for some, but it should have been remembered for that kind of event.
