I read in like a metal maniacs or some mag. that the falsetto was hard to do, according to warrel. The cover certainly didn't seem to be the most important thing on his mind anyway.

To add to this, I would love to see a NEVERMORE cover C.D. (does "Beyond the Black" ring a bell? As stated before< I would love to see NEVERMORE cover METAL CHURCH/BEYOND THE BLACK, SAVATAGE/ANY SONG, PINK FLOYD/RUN LIKE HELL, QUEENSRYCHE/ANY SONG, RUSH/THE TREES, FATES WARNING/SILENT CRIES, IRON MAIDEN/HALLOWED BE THY NAME, JUDAS PRIEST/ANY. If there one thing I love about covers, ad I have said it before...
is when an artist "changes" the original song somewhat and fits it
into his own style... thats a true cover IMO.
(because otherwise, whats the big deal in just playing it the way the original is?)

now, on that note: The Sound Of Silence is was of my favorite cover songs
ever made. (because I LOVE the original and obviously, I LOVE the cover)
so hearing what nevermore can do to covers...
I honestly can't wait to hear that Ozzy cover, if they'll ever finish it..
and I hope they will.

Sadly I recall Warrel saying that they were going to stick more to the layout of the original song on this one, rather than nevermore it up too much. I was pretty disappointed by that, but hey it'll likely still kick ass (if it ever hits the shelves).

Type O Negative's cover of Black Sabbath actually scared me when I was a little kid. I was listening to it on my portable CD player (remember those?!!!dsfjsdlkfj1) sitting in the back seat, driving with my parents back home on the highway late at night. Scared the piss out of me.

I agree, Nevermore totally reinvent songs such as "Sound of Silence" and Judas Priest "Love Bites" I like the originals but I like Nevermore's versions better. By the way, does anyone have info regarding them covering Metallica?
