Music for the Road

In my younger days, I used to play music really loud from my car. Nowadays, I just think it's embarrasing. It's like a cry for attention when people play their music so loud.

Agree with this - one word describes people who play their music loud for attention - Posers

To answer the question though, some thrash is in order whilst driving - Kreator, Dew Scented and Witchery are my current choices.

The song Red Barchetta was a favourite of mine years ago, and I am always tempted to actually buy one now I have the money, can't quite bring myself to drive a Fiat though :)

My car's CD player is broken, so I have to listen to either one of two crappy rock stations, a jazz station which has a guy who loves to hear his own voice dominating 50% of the air-time, or a classical station, which is crap driving music. I usually end up listening to the crap rock station, so as a result, I am way more familiar with crappy nu-metal then I'd ever wan't to be.

Greatest driving songs:
Fuel-Metallica
Freewheel Burning- Judas Priest
Panama- Van Halen

Other great driving songs that don't necesarilly have to do with driving:
Painkiller-Judas Priest
Run To The Hills-Iron Maiden
Bullet Ride-In Flames
The Coming Curse-Iced Earth
Triple Corpse Hammerblow- CoB

I blast my music only when I'm on the highway, and I normally never have the windows down, so nobody is affected by it. Once I'm in a slower paced environment, however, I immediately turn it down.

Lately:

Caducity - Whirler Of Fate
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
Nihilist - Demos

Same here.

BUT...

If the son of a bitch next to me throws their cig butt out their window I roll down my window and blast it.

Amon Amarth - Versus The World
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Megadeth - So Far, so good, so what
Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance
Cryptopsy - None so Vile
Pigmy Love Circus - The Power of Beef
Arch Enemy - Stigmata

I crank it always, but at stop signs/lights etc I turn it down. No reason to annoy other people with my music. Unlike the hip hop fags.

there is something wrong with my cd player and i am restricted to like 5 cds that work.

black sabbath - black sabbath
black sabbath - master of reality
judas priest - stained class
nevermore - dead heart in a dead world
megadeth - so far so good so what

generally slayer is good driving music though .. if you can play it.

Haha. I hate when people purposely crank the music as loud as they can so other people hear it. Most of the people that do this are blasting horrible hip hop crap, which makes it even worse.

I crank the music just because I really like it loud, I listen to it loud in my room also.
