This list sucks. But I didn't vote in the preliminary round, so I can't complain.

I did my top 25 list for no reason. It took me days to get myself to actually make the list. I did not even want to do it. The Gayman, fuck you!

I've given these records all at least one listen now. I've gotta be honest, Morbid Angel and Immolation go in one ear and out the other. They've been a total chore to listen to thus far. Perhaps they'll click at some point, but right now I'm at a loss for the hype these records receive. It was even more of a struggle to make it through Entombed record. I really just wanted to turn it off. How that record is on the list over Like an Everflowing Stream is beyond me.

On the positive side, The Red in the Sky is Ours is a truly magnificent record from start to finish and both of the Autopsy records slay. The others that I'm new to--Necrophobic, Bolt Thrower, and Pestilence--made decent first impressions. I'll keep giving all these records more listens to sink in.

Never mind. I really thought people would want to make this as seamless and easy as possible by now but people don't really care unless they're the ones parsing and compiling all the data.
