Revalver MKii

I have a question, is the new demo beeping every few seconds like the second one or only not preventing saving presets like the first one ?

Tried and liked the sound of the previous demo, but not a particularly stable plug it seems (at least the demo version isn't). Had it create havoc on one project file possibly due to the protection and purchase reminders, but not convinced enough to buy it outright in case that's not the problem.

I just bought it!

Share your presets if you have some good ones.

My "starting point" rythm preset used with emgs > boss sd-1 (level: max, tone min to 9 oclock, drive min to 9 o clock) > bypassed v-amp pro as a digital di:

I can't post revalver format preset yet because i can't buy it before paying off my previous gear purchases, but i surely will ASAIC.
Now i'm using noise and beep less demo that gives extremely annoying reminders every time i click my mouse to tweak any plugin - for me clickning "no" on 100 reminders per session and being able to render good tracks is still less annoying than hearing noise every few seconds.

I'll post something when i get around to recoridng something!

So far, impressed with it for lead sounds but rhythm isn't kicking it for me yet.

I'll fanny aroudn more and see what i can get :D

Ive had experience with similar stuff, it beeps every now and again because its a demo and refuses to let your audio go unharmed due to the fact its free. Otherwise everybody could use it on their tracks which sounds great then deinstall the demo. They have it so you can hear the program then beep so it fucks your audio thus preventing you using it properly.

Just a little tester basically. I hope I explained that ok...lol

Just got Revalver Mkii on a whim, and I must say its contending with my Pod XT. I totally dig Dimitri's presets and the option to drop in your own Impluse files. Its still lacking a bit of that "edge" and "lively" feel of a real, mic'd up amp, but it still have a ton of usable tones (especially the jazzy cleans)

I'm tempted to buy it when I have $$ also, I have the demo and have gotten some great tones out of it

it seems to have tweakability out the ass - check out all the settings you can change on each tube

Yes, the tweakability is great. Very versitile. I'm thinking that in the future instead of it being PodXT and DFH, its going to be Revalver MKii and DFH...but only time will tell.

I'm not very impressed by the demo, all the sims etc seem to sound somehow distant and lifeless, regardless of pre/power amp and speaker impulse settings. Especially palm mutes, they don't sound realistic at all by any measurement. But palm mutes have always been a problem for all amp simulations. I even tried with the TS9 simulation in front of the amp sections, but still very dull.

I like Revalvers palm mutes more than the real amp+mic ones recorded in one of the mix competition sessions and posted by Gavin in this thread:
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/andy-sneap/287088-anyone-have-raw-audio-tracks-post.html

So for guitars i only reamped the dry tracks and discarded the original amp recordings which sounded kinda weak (compared to revalver) to my ears and here is what i got:

(look for a counter that looks like google ad (ctrl+f Revalver2 palm mutes), wait for the counter to reach 0 and right click the link)

Warning ! I just wanted to tweak revalver while instantly hearing the result in a mix and i did not have time/desire to line up everything properly and i have very bad monitoring/headphone setup (small pc speakers+bass combo as a subwoofer) so eq and mix are probably horrible but the rv2 palm mutes are excellent IMHO.
