revisiting my old question...prepping tracks for mixing

What's the best way to get the files they way that I want them without having to export each track which probably results in some compression? I notice that my exported tracks look smoother than the originals. I glue all of my parts together and make each one start at zero. I go into the pool and delete all unused tracks but the tracks that remain are still bits and pieces and not the whole part that I just glued and renamed. How can I go about getting those consolidated tracks to be my only audio tracks so that I can just drag the folder over next time I want to transfer or burn them.

I'm using Cubase SX 3. Thanks.

as long as you export the files in an uncompressed format (wav, aiff...) there should be no effect on the sound of the files.

I found the solution. I wasn't bouncing the parts after I glued them.
