I haven't been keeping up to speed with the Prog Metal world for a long time, and then I logged on to Thresh.net to see how the band was getting on and I see this sad news...

Mac will be greatly missed. He was always great on stage, had a great voice, and seemed to be a genuinely nice bloke.

I had posted my thoughts over in the ProgPower USA forum at the time, but it seems appropriate to repeat them here:

I wasn't aware of Threshold heading into ProgPower VIII. I got Dead Reckoning to check them out and have been listening to the band non-stop ever since.

RIP Mac. What an incredible voice. Seems like all my favorite vocalists are being silenced (e.g. Midnight).

This is still painful and hard to believe two months later Rest in peace, sir.
