My first try at mixing guitar and drums together.

Drums are S2.0 no replacments as you can probably tell

Guitars are just my triple rec thru a shure 57 into my Mobile Pre usb interface. Which for some reason they sound really sh*tty and gritty.

No bass yet.

Edit: dont mind the sh*tty guitar playing either haha.

*UPDATE* added more mids and some reverb.

i've never been a fan of mesa's but that seems pretty reasonable!

i think the guitar is lacking a bit in clarity.. maybe add some mids or something?

the song is heavy! its a pretty good mix!

are you using the Nir-Z snare?

thanks,

Thanks man, I boosted the mids a little in that mix, looks like I should add more. And yes that is the Nir-z custom.

UPDATE: added some more mids to the guitars and some reverb to everything since it sounded a little dry. Probably made it sound worse.

Sounds good, drums are too clicky and distant in the mix though. Get a bass track, it will make your guitars and well...everything sound better!

i love clicky drums!

its sounding great!

but yes, next step is track some bass.. haha.

thanks,
