Rites of Darkness Festival in TX in December

I read about it on a forum over at HELLRIDE.

It is mainly bands I have never heard of, but bands of note are:
PAGAN ALTAR (First time ever in the US)
HOUR OF 13
MIDNIGHT
CIANIDE

I heard of this fest from talk a while back on the PP forum actually. Never had it on my radar and still dont.

I'm going to this. Have had my hotel and ticket for some time now. It's primarily death and black metal and for those two subgenres, this festival is huge. Some massive reunions taking place and for my taste, it's better than any MDF lineup ever. The doom bands are a nice touch though.

Extremely jealous.
WOuld love to see Pagan Altar.
Kind of odd they chose this fest for their US debut.
Must have gotten a good offer.

Not sure how well they will go over with the black and death crowd.

There are a shit ton of bands at this fest that I want to see. I am def. going to ProgPower, but I wish I could get some time off in December to go to RoD. Goddammit.
