This movie looks great, I am going to go see it when it arrives in theaters. Anyone else looking forward to viewing this film?

Superior.

Did you say "Abe Lincoln"?

And I'll probably wait for this one at Redbox. Not a big Crowe fan, and I'm getting really bored with all the remakes and sequels.

yeah looking forward to this, i loved kingdom of heaven and this seems to be in the same vain, especially cinematography wise.

I enjoyed that one as well. Perhaps if it's done in a similar way, along with being a sort of prequel, or different interpretation of the typical Robin Hood story, it might be worth a look. Maybe a bit like King Arthur (Clive Owen). I had no interest in seeing another redundant Arthur/Lancelot/Camelot flick, but that one was pretty good.

I've always pictures Robin Hood as a tall, lanky man with a mustache and sophistication in his demeanor. Don't know why.

Obviously Russel Crowe doesn't fit my mind's eye description at all.

The director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven is one of my favorite movies ever, so I pretty much have to go see this. It's unfortunate that I have this gut antipathy to Russell Crowe, but it'll probably still be an enjoyable movie - the supporting cast is brilliant, and I'm excited to see Scott's take on historical characters like Eleanor of Aquataine and William Marshal.

Incidentally, the guy playing Allan A-Dale is the singer for Canadian folk band Great Big Sea. Pretty random.
