Rock Harvest

Love / Hate???
Holy smokes!! I remember their video "Black out in the Red Room"
All the hair metal chicks in my high school loved them.

What's next? They gonna book VAIN?????????????

This is actually a cool lineup. Many bands I wouldn't mind seeing.

Ok not even comparable bands.
I saw Love/Hate about 21 years ago, don't remember too much of them.
Now I would love to see Vain being that they are my favorite sleaze L.A. band. Davey I don't think could ever put out a bad album.

I'm so stoked I get to even be there Thursday to catch that show... I mean that's a cray lineup!!!

Michael Angelo Batio whaaaat? I think every kid learned their first sweeps from that dude. Will be really cool to see that, and also Rusty Cooley!

So apparently this festival is falling apart. It's still scheduled to go on, but a good number of bands have dropped off the bill. I honestly have no idea who is still playing at this point.

Here's what the ticket site lists as the current lineup:

Thursday
ASHES OF ARES
SEVEN KINGDOMS
ORDER OF NINE
MYSTIC FORCE
A SOUND OF THUNDER
TWISTED TOWER DIRE
TERRA INCOGNITA
RIVERA BOMMA

Friday
HEATHEN
RAVEN
GENERATION KILL
METAL MIKE
DEATHRIDERS
ALLOY20
GHOST OF WAR
EDGE OF PARADISE
RUSTY COOLEY
RONNY MUNROE
NEW DAY DAWN
FUNERAL FOR A CLOWN
BURNING SHADOWS

Saturday
HEADLINER (tba)
EVERY MOTHERS NIGHTMARE
WHITE TRASH
LYNAM
PROPHET
LEATHERWOLF
REVERENCE
XANDER DEMOS
MODERN SUPERSTAR
FARCRY
RESISTANCE
ARIES
SPREAD EAGLE
MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO
WIDOW

Not that I have a lot of faith at this point that even these will be there.

Yeah - maybe he thought he'd be able to pay the bands with pre-sale money and they didn't get enough pre-sales. Really risky idea that almost never pays off.

I won't call anyone out, but let's face it.
This happens quite often.
This isn't the only US festival where bands all of a sudden "Dropped Off"

This fest is hosting a TON of bands who need to be paid.

It was pretty inevitable that (and I am only assuming), bands were called to "step down" and break their deals so the promoter could lower his losses.

Even with the remaining bands, I don't even know how ticket sales alone would cover flights, let alone performance fees.

It's a shame as it was a cool lineup.

I still would love to see Reverence.

A few of the bands on the list Justin posted are off or about to drop. I was told yesterday that Heathen is no longer on, also heard Leatherwolf are gone.
There is so much conflicting information about this festival and even the "charity".
Odd thing is there really has been no attempt at damage control or to clear up the confusion.

Never ever got the Mike Batio (sorry, Angelo) hype, saw him MANY times in the best band he was ever in, Holland, and I liked that band as a combintion of players. Wayyyyyy more musical than anything he's ever done...If you haven't seen his rig rundown vid on youtube, check it out, it's hilarious, in a bad way....(again, IMHFO)

I understand Skull Fest, which is happening in Nebraska this weekend, had some similar issues. Losing a sponsor throws the whole thing in jeopardy.
