Rock Harvest

We regretfully announce that due to reasons beyond the band's control, SEVEN KINGDOMS will NOT be participating in the upcoming Rock Harvest II festival next month.

We apologize to any fans that were looking forward to seeing us there and promise to make up with an area appearance in our next North American tour.

Thanks for the support,

-7K

Problem is, if it says "lineup subject to change", there's your disclaimer that makes it difficult for you to fight that in a court of law, as far as I know...

(though I could be wrong when it comes to the legal part)

You're absolutely right. Those disclaimers protect promoters from class action (or individual) lawsuits.

7K are being WAY too kind about this.
Well, I take that back. They are being very professional about it.
Kudos. Bummer it didn't pan out.

Rock Harvest
Ladies & gentlemen, we truly are sorry for the confusion leading up the our second annual show. We have mentioned before, that we truly do apologize for the bands that we caused to drop off the bill due to our mistakes. There are several other bands that we had no control over, whether it was breaking up, staying in studio, or unable to secure work visas. Our intentions are to never mislead. We have heard some pretty incredible rumors & nasty remarks, but for those that's all they have. We are not a corporate festival that can pull in the huge sponsors (next year we are getting one step closer), so when we lose a big one due to the economy, of course it destroys us BUT we must move on. A lot of the bands & fans don't realize is that the show is organized by members of law enforcement, who if you've been following the government shutdown, have been greatly affected. BUT they aren't here to complain, they still have to do their job like most of you, all while making sure we can do what we can for the best possible show. With that being said, however, we do feel bad that some bands did drop off. So for ROCK HARVEST 3, we are offering a 30% discount off tickets up until 11/6/13 of this year.

Wow.. "Sorry we screwed up, so you can have 30% off if you trust us not to do it again next year"?

I also noted the reference to the organizers being police officers being affected by the furloughs. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that federal law enforcement is always exempt from furloughs, and local law enforcement would have been unaffected by federal furloughs... there's a lot of stuff that isn't adding up, besides their balance sheet.

The promoter was always very kind to us, we have no bad blood here. It's just not going to work out for us to preform this year under the circumstances that has happened :(

I wish for the best of the Rock Harvest Festival this year! maybe we can make a future one happen.

I don't know what specific force he is on, but his job was part of the shutdown.

Not that that should have any bearing on the festival.

Well, that's the thing!
You guys are being very professional and not going into the "details" of the circumstances around you guys not participating.

Regardless of what happened, you never wanna burn bridges.

It's not even that. Fans shouldn't give a shit about the behind the scenes politics and problems or decisions. The business bullshit should stay behind closed doors.

Man, I was so disappointed to see this thing fall apart. Thursday night was going to be awesome! I should've known the lineup for this place was too good to be true. I live 40 minutes away from the venue by back roads. I have been to this establishment MANY times but it was really just a large bar with local bands playing covers. It changed hands and started booking some pretty cool shows (Pain of Salvation last spring).

It can hold about 800, but that is PACKED. Too packed. It really is a shame that it is melting down, because it would be cool to have a show like that so close by! There are quite a few locals on the bill, so it would be a nice close show to play had things worked out. However, at this rate credibility has hurt badly and people will (and rightfully so) have doubts about trusting them ever again.

I think the whole thing stinks and many people did get screwed, but it *is* a festival. With that said, the sheer amount of heavy hitters that have pulled out of this festival is just about as good as cancelled. A few can and will happen, but this is of ridiculous proportions. I am glad that I did not buy advance tickets now. Since Mystic Force is local (except for the singer), there is a good chance that they will stay on. That should be a cool set to see for people who are still stuck. Depending on who sticks around for Thursday and the cost of a Thurs. only ticket, I might still go and take the family.
