Hi guys. I'm trying to find the best option to my budget, to get my first
mic for vocal purposes. I know they aren't the best but, i have read good
comments about this two mics. So, what's your opinion?? Is there any other
good mic out there in that range of prices?

Please Help!!!!!

Greets!

i own both mics, and they're both great, just in their own ways...

the NT-2A has a warmer, rounder sort of sound to it, where the 4033 is a lot crisper and more focused

for a vocal mic, i'd usually take the 4033

also, here's a link to a few .wav's from a mic comparison i did a while back on a grand piano...there's both the mics mentioned here, plus a C414-ULS and U87

Wow!!!!! Thanks a lot dude.

So, one vote to 4033. Too bad that doesn't have multipolar pattern.

My 4033 and SM57s are the only recording gear I'm not getting rid of that I purchased in the 90's.

I'm very fond of my NT2A. It's so incredibly quiet; the noisefloor is much lower than my other mics. It's pretty nice, and for my purposes, I think it's definitely focused enough for lead vocals. My opinion might be a bit skewed, though, because they're half the price of the 4033 here and therefore much better value.

Here, the prices of both mics are relatively close, so, that complicates my situation.
So far, rode NT2A is winning because, as it would be my first microphone, would be more versatile...like a Swiss army knife.

Thanks a lot for the input guys!

The multipolar pattern is not such a big deal, the NT-2A is the same as a NT-1A except for this feature, wich is cool, but it doesn't make it sound any better, I'd say go for the nt1-a, the same, but cheaper.
