I'm thinking of getting a KD-8 for getting MIDI notes out of the module directly and not have to worry about kick drum in the overheads. Was the usual DDrum trigger into interface into drumagog for me until now.

I just wanted to ask if someone could share some experience with these things? Will it work okay or will I need one of the more expensive ones (KD-85, KD-120) for decent results? Thanks very much.
Also, how about these things slipping away while playing? From the pictures I always wonder how these tiny things are supposed to stay in place.

I have the cheapest roland kick trigger with my td-3 set, works perfectly, but if you want it to stay in place i suggest mounting it against a wall or something really heavy.
