I'd offer some crash space in my suite at the Artmore, but I have a strict "no vampires" rule.

Err, more seriously, I've backed down into a smaller suite for 2010, so I probably won't have much -- if any -- extra room. :(

Nailz: yeah i live in Tempe AZ, freakchylde: i dont know yet about the hotel, that is why i want to see who is planning in rooming out, so far i got my plane & festival tickets, Cheiron: no I am from Colombia, but we put the day before of the month, but is also because i work for a german company and they have that calendar rule  lol, and Pellaz: dont worry i promise i will get rid of the bodies :lol:, is cool something will come along the way, where are you guys staying?, and do you have any suggestion of good and inexpensive hotels?.....thank you...:rock:

http://progpowerusa.com/xi/hotels/ -- for all the hotel info.

I'm staying at the Artmore for the second consecutive year. It looks as if the hotel has resolved all of its legendary overbooking issues in the past when it was a Best Western, and the hotel courtyard has become the de-facto party zone for ProgPower attendees.

Before that I was staying at the Residence Inn Midtown, but they jacked their prices up for ProgPower and priced themselves out of MY market.

For you oldtimers, let's have a moment of silence for the old Fairfield Inn, site of many great ProgPower memories, including the legendary "Midnight at 6am" performance Sunday after PP on the patio deck. Like Midnight himself, the hotel is gone but not forgotten. May both R.I.P.

Don't forget about the Hampton Inn on 14th street. A victim of the 14th street bridge replacement project :(

I stayed there the first PP USA in 2005. It was a great place for the price. Pissed me (and others) off when we all got letters in the mail saying they were closing because of the construction project. Fortunately I managed to snag a room at the Sucky 8 that year.

This year I'm staying at the Artmore for the first time. I was supposed to stay there last year but they overbooked. So they put us in the Four Seasons for the price we would have paid for the Artmore! :OMG:

I had no problems with Super 8 last year and intend to stay there again this year. It's not too expensive, walking distance to both venue and food, etc. Not the lap of luxury, but functional for what I need out of it.

My friends and I stayed at the Super 8 once. Never again! It's cheap, and it's okay if you don't mind ancient elevators that take ages to reach the third floor, smelly rooms, humid rooms (even with AC,) creaky floors, and sharing your room with lots of insects. I draw the line at cockroaches and water bugs. *shudder*

The last two years we all stayed at the Renaissance Suites, which is about a mile from the venue. There is a Marta station pretty close, though. This year we're staing at the Residence Inn on 17th street. It's much closer than the Renaissance, and it's cheaper! It's not loads cheaper, but we are spending less money per night. The first year we stayed at the Renaissance it was cheaper than any of the closer hotels (Sucky 8, excepted). But now it's not. :/

Heh... Hey Pellaz, if you get any vampires you can just send them down my way. I don't mind letting them in :-)

The Artmore is okay. The renovations helped some, but the rooms just aren't that great. The patio is an exceptional place to socialize though. The Residence Inn still gets my vote - fresh modern rooms, short distance from venue, food next door, all-night party patio, awesome staff...

yeah i been thinking in the super 8 in order to low costs, i will do any other hotel if i can roommate, so the costs wont be that bad and will be more budget for :kickass: , food and some merch.

Yep...just book a room at the Super 8 and keep on the prowl for someone looking to share a room...unlike airfare, you can always cancel the hotel room later without penalty as long as you don't wait TOO long.
And the bugs (if any) in the room won't bother you, since they won't mess with the undead.

Well, actually, with as many friends in goth bands as I have (weird, considering I'm a metal radio deejay), I'm sure I'd get a pass from any nosferatus or bloodsuckers in the area.

I'll just wear my 69 Eyes "Lost Boys" t-shirt.

I was an RI fan for years...until the manager there gave me a smarmy answer two years ago when I mentioned the astonishing rise in the price of their rooms during PP.

Some friends of mine stayed there last year, and while it's not a Hyatt or a Sheraton, it was nothing more than a crash pad, and suited them for what it was. They didn't complain about anything, at least that I remember.

I like the Artmore much better than the old BW of yesteryear. I'm glad it's the official PP Hotel, and it's great to have a staff & management who know what they're getting into, unlike the Noise Police raids of days gone by.... :)
Kudos to Glenn for putting the crew up there as well....

I'm in the Super 8 too, for much the same reason - I just need a cheap place to stick my luggage, pass out for four or five hours, and take a shower - the rest of the time, I'm either going to be at the Artmore or visiting other people's rooms/parties. As long as it's clean and free of critters, I don't care!

I'm going over from the Uk - first PP and first trip to USA! Staying at the Midtown Atlanta for 5 nights from 7th.

Anyone else staying there?

Yeah, it's where I ended up with my Priceline bid this year.

If you're trying to save money and willing to stay a slightly farther distance, you can try Priceline Name Your Own Price. You can choose area so you'll only get hotels in midtown but midtown is a pretty large area and star level. I've now stayed at Hotel Indigo, Georgian Terrace, and will be at Hotel Midtown Atlanta this year. Paying just over $260 for a 4 night stay (that's total, not per night) but I made the bid back in October '09. You pay immediately when the bid is accepted and there's no cancellation unless you get the insurance. Basically, only use this if you're 100% positive you're going. I've never had a problem with the site and I always use it for my trips.
Check out betterbidding.com so you can get an idea of the possible hotels at various star levels. Just realize that if any of the hotels really close to Centerstage are on the list, you won't get them because the hotels know when Progpower is and know they can rip us off.
