You lose me on this one Glenn. They sound like cheapened generic versions of better bands in this style. I don't know. I checked out a couple songs on their myspace and none of them seemed to have a memorable riff, nor vocal melody.

That's ok. I shake my head at a few of your posts over at PM:X as well. :kickass:

Btw, they only have two songs from the new disc up on the myspace. I'm not a fan of the first disc that much to be honest. However, if you don't like the riffing on that video, I'd say you should move along...

I hear a mix of Skindred, Drowning Pool and the non progressive parts of newer Amorphis. Yeah so not a specific genre, but a certain sound. Relistening, I think after the 2:45 mark I get into it, which I didn't even get to before as I didn't like the fist minute and a half. But yeah Living in the Cage I listened to fully and I felt that it was generic. My head also reflects on Disturbed and Korn. I probably spoke too soon and harshly though. There's some parts here I like. I think its the harder sound of them I find... as lesser forms.

It certainly does have a small bit of a NYHC sound in it. Not bad but is it hooky enough?
Think these guy certainly pulled some 90s influences. Still it could easily slip into that Drowning Pool area. Not saying that is bad, someone likes that stuff.

Yep, very 90's indeed, in both look and sound.
Not bad, just not for me.
These guys prolly would have made it big with the Ozzfest crowd a while back.
Are these guys on a major label?

Some of the sampling / keys remind me of modern era In Flames.

They are on Mystic Production in Poland, which is the same label Riverside is on in Poland.

I think what's holding it back is what a lot here have been saying.
They need to better define their scope.
A little TOO much going on.

Metal fans will say it is too nu or metalcore.
Some nu fans will say it isn't nu or trendy sounding enough.

I dunno. There is some talent here, but just too much going on in terms of style for one song.

Yah 1:40 to 2:40 is sweet (if it wasn't Glenn, I would have shut this off before then as hardcore is not much my thing). Definitely some elements of progressive metal if you ask me. But, I used to love some Biohazard back around Punishment Due. I still remember those guys getting all riled up standing around outside the venue at Milwaukee Metalfest because apparently David Vincent (from Morbid Angel, headlining) had a confederate flag on his coat or something.
