Routing individual cymbals in Superior

Its confused me a bit! I'm using slate for my drums, and in Kontakt you can route everything to individual channels, including cymbals. However, slate cymbals aint exactly the best so I'm using superior. I don't want just one output for OHs though

You can do it if you bounce the tracks via Superior. There's an option to output the OH's as individual cymbals. Tho of course they'll be wavs.

Arghhh what a bastard. I don't have the full version of Kontakt either so I can't load up samples from there and route them out. Any other suggestions?

Surely having 10 odd instances of superior will be a massive CPU hog?

If you have to have em as midi, run more than one Superior and set em to Cached mode and clear the memory. It'll use like 10 mb tops for a cymbal.

But yeah, if I ever really need to split the OH's I'd just bounce em out as wavs thru Superior and go from there.

Edit: Just to be clear, it'll bounce the whole drum track like. So you'll have whole cymbal tracks as audio.

Cheers mate! Ill give both a try and see what happens. I've only got the cymbals selected in superior anyway so it should just bounce them. Or will it print blank audio tracks for the kick, snare etc?

I'm pretty low on HD space which is a bit of an annoyance but ah well!
