Will a few of you Georgia peeps tell us Roxy virgins what to expect out of this venue?

Example: smoking/non-smoking, standing room only, fairly nice/run down, etc.

No smoking, Standing room only on a sloped floor. There are chairs upstairs but the only time I was there it was not open.

I saw Megadeth/Iced Earth there. Its actually a very nice venue.

No cameras, which is pretty standard anymore.

Good, because I hate going to dumps. I'm spoiled by Center Stage and the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville.

there is a great parking lot right across the street from the Roxy that was not that bad $$ wise. I recommend that one.

I parked in a small stripmall parking lot down the street for 5 bucks in Febuary.

For those of you that do smoke, once you leave the lobby and enter the room where the bands play (only one entrance out of the lobby), over to your right there's a door that goes outside to a patio where people smoke.

It's also a great way to escape fast and beat the crowd. There's a gate on the patio that lets you out the back right in front of a row of bars and where the bands' busses are parked.
