RTAS Distressor plugin for $1!!!!!

EDIT: looks like this doesn't sound like a distressor from what everyones saying, though I'm finding it useful and it's only a dollar.

So when they say it's modeled after "a famous 8X compressor," do they mean an 1176 or are they talking about the actual hardware Empirical Labs unit? The reason I ask is because I thought the Empirical Labs original was supposed to be able to emulate several different "classic" compressors.

I checked this out with Q-Clone last weekend because the controls weren't intuitive, I don't remember seeing much on the graph for harmonics but there were wild tone curve changes. No harmonics means it's very unlikely to be analog modeled.

I'll update this post if I check it again.

No you just click on the "more here" link and it takes you to the plugin page. There's a free demo version that doesn't save settings when you close the session

I agree that $1 is cheap, but since you asked what you can get for the price, have you tried Molot or the Variety of Sound (Bootsy) plugins?

Those are VST only. Some of us need RTAS.

Here is a bonus, for a dollar you can have all those plugins, plus this distressor look alike!

Hard to beat that deal...
