Sabbath... YEAH!

In Quebec City, Heaven & Hell drew about 5,500 in 2007. Black Sabbath drew 10,000 last week. That's where I took my comparison. Dio always had lots of fans in Quebec City though.

I never saw Y&T and they never ever played in the province of Quebec as far as I know and remember. They played New Hampshire last week and if the show had been on a weekend, maybe I'd have made the trip...

Dave even mentioned that they hardly played Canada at the Rockpile East show. Not sure if they will come back as there was barely 200 people. But they played the Rockpile West (Etobicoke) on Friday. I first saw Y&T in Ottawa back in 1985 when they opened for Motley on the TOP tour. That show in Toronto was as good as any of the San Francisco shows I attended from 2008-2011.

I would love Y&T to play FouFou.

1) The 13 album was fantastic since it was serious. No comedy. The live show however, is compromised by pandering to the reality tv show audience. It's like there's a King, a Prince and maybe a squire on drums. But the jester is the center of attention and his antics detract from the music. That's fine for a solo show. H&H just played the songs so well the audience was inspired. But with Ozzy, it's a different crowd. It's just a place to get drunk and high and mirror the clown on stage. The music is secondary.

2) I like all eras equally but if pushed Born Again is the best one.

Fair enough.
I guess at the show I saw it was totally about the band, and not at all an Ozzy show........

I like all eras equally too, but in recent years have been listening to the Martin era most.

I adore Born Again!

I never got to see Heaven & Hell live. It probably would have been as life changing an experience as my first Maiden show. Sabbath... I was told I shouldn't bother. That's sad.

Sabbath live in 2014 is more about partying with the buffoon than music. But hey that's what Ozzy brings and that's what sells.

I dunno...
Maybe it was just your show and the crowd that was there.

The show last summer was honestly just as good as when I saw Sabbath in 2005.

I saw H&H two times. Once on the first headlining tour they did with Megadeth. That was phenomenal. Honestly, the second time I saw them on the Metal Masters Tour (or whatever it was called), was not as magical. Don't get me wrong, it was a flawless performance, but lacked that special something.

I definitely regret missing them on the tour they did for The Devil You Know, but it didn't help that Coheed and Cambria opened.

I REALLY hope that someday Tony Martin brings Headless Cross to the states.

It kills me how many Sabbath fans, let alone Metal fans, are not familiar with the Martin era albums.
