I think that they didn't get listed because they aren't in the top 10 Norwegian black metal bands. Forgotten Woods is also pretty underrated.

the influence THORNS had on the scene was strong, the early 90's demos were ahead of their time even though they had no proper releases at the time. .

I only have Race of Cain but that's pretty good. I'd certainly like to hear some of their earlier work.

Yeah, early Forgotten Woods is good stuff. I haven't heard their latest. Kronet Til Konge, by Dødheimsgard, is very cool too, but not really good enough to make a top ten list. I'd like to see more appreciation for Obtained Enslavement.

I would have added Mysticum to my list but they didn't get their due promotion (because Euronymous died) and thus their potential influence was diminished and delayed.

BM bands of any kind are not known for great lyrics lol imo... most of the time i don't know what they are singing nor do i care...

It's not too shocking that Derek's list is really bizarre.

What's so bizarre about it? It's pretty much all the same bands Zephyr chose but in different order and most people here imo would of chosen the same bands more or less... so I suppose if someone does not have your exact same list then it's considered a "bizarre" list? ...
